What To Expect
Your first appointment, step by step
Your first visit takes approximately 90 minutes. We allow plenty of time for you to ask questions about your options and discuss all potential procedures that could enhance the look and health of your smile.
Our doctors will carefully review your past medical and dental history and ask about your lifestyle — medications, vitamins, supplements, and any health conditions that could impact your dental care.
Gum Exam
We examine your gums to check for bleeding, swelling, or recession.
Jawbone Inspection
We inspect your jawbone for any breakdown of bone surrounding your teeth.
Bite & Alignment
We evaluate your teeth to determine proper alignment and bite mechanics.
Sensitivity Check
We check for sensitivity of the gums or teeth and any looseness or instability.
Pocket Assessment
We perform an assessment of the periodontal pockets around each tooth.
X-Rays
We take X-rays of the jawbone to check for possible bone loss.
After your examination, you’ll return to the consultation room to discuss any findings and treatment options that may be recommended.
