Restore Your Smile With Dental Implants Today!

Dental implants are often the best option for single or multiple tooth replacement. Dental implants are the piece of the restoration that is implanted into the bone. A single implant can be covered with a single tooth replacement (a pontic), or be part of a series of implants designed to support a bridge or denture to replace multiple teeth.

Single Tooth Implants

A single tooth implant is used when someone is missing one or more teeth, to replace each individually. One implant supports one crown. While this option does the most to preserve jawbone health and is the closest imitation of the mouth’s natural structure, it can rapidly become expensive when multiple teeth are missing.

Implant-Supported Bridges

Bridges can be used when multiple adjacent teeth are missing. In this case, one or two implants support as many teeth as need to be replaced. Unlike traditional bridgework, no damage is done to adjacent natural teeth, and the implants can last a lifetime.

Implant-Supported Dentures

For edentulous patients (missing all of the teeth in one or both jaws), a denture supported by dental implants can provide a solution. Implant-supported dentures are a full row of fabricated, natural looking teeth supported by a small number of dental implants. These are a more comfortable and stable option than conventional dentures, but less costly than a full mouth of individual dental implants.

Some patients with specific medical conditions may not be good candidates for dental implants due to surgical concerns. Dr. Zalewsky and Dr. Hoge will help determine on a case by case basis if dental implants are an appropriate, safe form of treatment.

Dental implants replace missing teeth with restorations that look, feel, and function naturally. Contact us for an appointment at our Washington D.C. or Alexandria, VA offices.
